Located on Jeju’s northeastern side, the Manjanggul Lava Tube (만장굴) is one of the longest lava tunnels in the world, formed over 100,000 years ago by Hallasan’s volcanic eruption.
Open to the public for ~1km, this cave feels like a natural cathedral carved by fire, complete with lava stalactites, lava toes, and the world’s tallest lava column.
Just nearby, Gimnyeong Village (김녕마을) offers scenic bike paths, wind farms, and a quiet coastal escape.
